Tanya and Marco | Terminal City Club Wedding

On the post wire today is the beautiful Tanya and handsome Marco’s wedding day at the Terminal City Club in beautiful downtown Vancouver! Blogging the weddings we have worked on in the recent past is always a fun task for me. It gives me a chance to reflect back on that particular wedding day, Tanya and Marco’s in this case, and think of all the great moments that happened from the getting ready in the morning all the way to the partying in the evening! Besides the stunning couple and their amazing bridal party, this was a truly special day for both sets of parents. I mean, of course, it’s always special when your child gets married, but seeing how proud both Tanya’s and Marco’s parents were all day, was something special and really stuck out for me. Right after a few getting ready photos we headed off to the Croatian Catholic Church for a lovely ceremony. The sun was out and it was a hot Summer’s day for sure, so we did part of the shoot outside but arrived at Terminal City Club to complete the wedding party shoot in the technological comfort of air conditioning! This of course gave me an opportunity to make use of different ares within TCC and one of my favourites was the billiards room (normally open to members only). On that note, let’s start this highlight package with one of my favourite ones from the billiards room!

KIND WORDS FROM…

Crystal + Peter

"They are right. Your wedding day goes by in a flash: so many details go fuzzy amidst the sensory overload-- all of your DIY handiwork and months of planning finished, in what feels like the shortest day of my life. Thank goodness for Butter Weddings who captured the moments of our wedding day that my eyes could not. They were the best. Showing up ahead of time, quickly staging flowers and arranging our bridal party and family. Finding the right moment to pull us away to capture the best light of the day. Effortlessly moving through all of our guests at a photo booth receiving line- best idea ever, by the way! No, seriously, I can't think of one thing that I would want them to do differently, except for find a magical time machine that would let us do it all over again! From our engagement shoot the month after Peter popped the question where Gina and Chris helped us stage an outdoor living room at the waters edge, to staging and preserving every little detail of our wedding day, they captured our memories like the pros that they are. I could not be happier with our pictures. Chris and Gina, thank you. I know you can't see my tears of joy right now as I write this, but they are there and they are real. You made me the happiest bride. xo"
