Queenie and Brent | Waterview | Vancouver

Queenie and Brent’s big day was one of incredibly sweet moments, laughter and fun! Friends and family were treated to a beautiful outdoor ceremony at George Wainborn Park. The weather was perfect for this great day! The day started off for our team capturing the lovely bride and groom while they were getting ready for the traditional Chinese tea ceremony. After the tea ceremony, it was time for Queenie to get into her western wedding gown. We immediately headed off to the bridge in the Athelete’s village for their first look (okay… technically second look of the day, but you know what I mean). Always a touching moment, the first look was perfect as joggers and walkers were happy to leave the bridge clear for this moment! THen it was time for wedding party photos at QE Park. Loads of fun with an extremely lovely wedding party! The day ended with a wonderful reception at Waterview. As in its name, Waterview provides a beautiful wide view of False Creek (a very Vancouver view). The best part of blogging our weddings and shoots really is being able to time warp back to that day and relive the great moments. I guess that’s why we love doing what we do as we hope to achieve this for each and everyone of our clients! An extra treat to Queenie and Brent’s wedding was working with the Effervescent Event Planning Team! Super professional and totally on top of every second of the day! Check out our highlight snaps of the day below!

KIND WORDS FROM…

Crystal + Peter

"They are right. Your wedding day goes by in a flash: so many details go fuzzy amidst the sensory overload-- all of your DIY handiwork and months of planning finished, in what feels like the shortest day of my life. Thank goodness for Butter Weddings who captured the moments of our wedding day that my eyes could not. They were the best. Showing up ahead of time, quickly staging flowers and arranging our bridal party and family. Finding the right moment to pull us away to capture the best light of the day. Effortlessly moving through all of our guests at a photo booth receiving line- best idea ever, by the way! No, seriously, I can't think of one thing that I would want them to do differently, except for find a magical time machine that would let us do it all over again! From our engagement shoot the month after Peter popped the question where Gina and Chris helped us stage an outdoor living room at the waters edge, to staging and preserving every little detail of our wedding day, they captured our memories like the pros that they are. I could not be happier with our pictures. Chris and Gina, thank you. I know you can't see my tears of joy right now as I write this, but they are there and they are real. You made me the happiest bride. xo"
