Carrie and Bryan | UBC University Golf Club | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

Such a great time photographing Carrie and Bryan’s big day. We love that wedding timelines have transformed a bit over the years! There’s definitely a move towards more efficient schedules that ensures non-stop fun for everyone! Paige of Spotlight Events set it up just right. We had a nice chill morning capturing all of the details and moments as Carrie and Bryan got ready at their respective getting-ready-locations. Bryan arrived at Carrie’s parent’s home shortly to being the traditional Chinese door games. The bridesmaids had a few hilarious challenges for the boys to complete before getting the right for Bryan to find his bride-to-be. For the first – first look of the day, Carrie was in her Cheongsam/Qipao (traditional one piece Chinese dress). I think we were already about up to five special moments by this time, but a sweet reaction between the lovely couple during this moment for sure. After a quick tea ceremony it was getting ready part 2 as Carrie got ready for her western white gown. One that she looked perfect in might I add! The second first look was just as sweet as the first one. During their photo shoot shortly after, it was evident that Carrie and Bryan are just perfect for each other. They comfortably fell into each other’s arms for their poses! It was then time for their official ceremony and lovely dinner reception at the University Golf Club. While capturing all of the evenings’ moments, guests (and we) were entertained by the hilarious speeches, the Butter Photobooth, and just all round good fun. So it took a while for us to blog this wedding, but hey… it’s a chance for us to re-congratulate Carrie and Bryan! Cheers to many great years!

"They are right. Your wedding day goes by in a flash: so many details go fuzzy amidst the sensory overload-- all of your DIY handiwork and months of planning finished, in what feels like the shortest day of my life. Thank goodness for Butter Weddings who captured the moments of our wedding day that my eyes could not. They were the best. Showing up ahead of time, quickly staging flowers and arranging our bridal party and family. Finding the right moment to pull us away to capture the best light of the day. Effortlessly moving through all of our guests at a photo booth receiving line- best idea ever, by the way! No, seriously, I can't think of one thing that I would want them to do differently, except for find a magical time machine that would let us do it all over again! From our engagement shoot the month after Peter popped the question where Gina and Chris helped us stage an outdoor living room at the waters edge, to staging and preserving every little detail of our wedding day, they captured our memories like the pros that they are. I could not be happier with our pictures. Chris and Gina, thank you. I know you can't see my tears of joy right now as I write this, but they are there and they are real. You made me the happiest bride. xo"
