Butter Media Photo Shoot Tips
We want you to get the most out of your photo session. Here are some tips to keep in mind:
- Schedule the photo session when you're in your prime and remember to get a good nights sleep.
- Solid colours are great. Try to stay away from anything too patterned.
- Ensure that your clothes are pressed or ironed. Wrinkles have a way of showing up on camera.
- Bring at least one additional change of clothes.
- Hire a makeup artist. If it's not within your budget, try to increase the amount of make-up you would normally wear - especially your foundation. Often times the lighting will wash the face out a bit.
- If you wear glases make sure you clean them before the shoot.
- If taking a group portrait, everyone should wear complimentary colors.
- Avoid short sleeves and tank-tops as the upper arm always tends to photograph wider than they are in real life
- Your hands may be included in portraits. Having your nails done is important.
- Have personal care items on premises, such as brush, comb, hairspray, make-up, lipstick, mirror, hair clips, etc.
- Keep a good posture with your back straight.
- Smile with your eyes.
- Take deep breaths, relax and have fun!
